Misti joins Media Masters, leader in Houston’s legal marketing and media consulting. Firm principal Miranda Sevcik created the company to answer the legal community’s call for strategic media and marketing opportunities.
Willingham will give Media Masters’ clients the advantage of a seasoned inside view of the newsroom and first-hand knowledge of how to position clients across traditional and social media platforms for advantageous news coverage, particularly during a crisis. About Misti Willingham
After receiving a bachelor’s degree from the School of Mass Communications and Journalism at Texas State University, Willingham began her career at KHOU Channel 11, a CBS affiliate in Houston as an associate producer and producer. She was recruited by KIAH Channel 39 to help launch a revolutionary news concept, Newsfix, before accepting a promotion and returning to KHOU as a prime time producer.
Highlights of her career include a 24-hour coverage of Hurricane Ike as it came ashore in Galveston, a one-hour special commemorating the opening of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Houston, and continuous coverage of various flooding events in Houston, including the Memorial Day floods of 2015. Misti was also awarded the Texas Associated Press award for Best Daytime Newscast in 2013.
